My Work
Pastor Jon Anthony Lucas Sr has been a Minister of the Gospel for quite some time. A Native of Omaha, Nebraska, he was ordained at Salem Baptist Church where he had the privilege of serving as Youth Pastor under Rev. Dr. Selwyn Bachcus. Jon and his wife, Teonette, take pride in serving God and their community through ministry and advocacy.
He is the current Pastor of New Rising Star Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska and can be heard weekly on their facebook page, NewRisingStarOmaha.facebook.com
Community involvement and Recognition
Pastor Lucas has worked for Omaha Public Schools for over twenty years and currently serves as Supervisor of Operations for the entire district. It was his dedication and work in this position which earned him the honor of being named Empowerment Champion by The Empowerment network. His focus on communities enabled him to also receive the African American Leadership Award from the Urban League of Nebraska and Community Advocate Award from Project Extra Mile.
